2. Information we may collect
When you contact us, we may receive your name, company, contact details, the content of your enquiry and any information you choose to provide. Technical information may also be processed by the services needed to deliver and secure the website.
3. How we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, consider whether we can act, arrange consultations, provide legal services where instructed, manage our professional obligations, protect the website and comply with law and regulation.
4. Our legal bases
Depending on the context, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, perform a contract, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as operating the firm and responding to business enquiries.
5. Booking and email services
Online consultations are booked through Calendly. Following a booking link takes you to Calendly’s service, where its own privacy information applies. The website enquiry form does not store your message: it prepares an email in your device’s email application for you to review and send.
6. Cookies and analytics
This version of the site does not set optional advertising or analytics cookies. Essential infrastructure may use strictly necessary technologies to deliver security and functionality. We will update this notice and request consent where required before introducing optional analytics or embedded third-party content.
7. Sharing and transfers
Information may be shared with professional advisers, technology providers, regulators, courts, authorities or other parties where this is necessary for the purpose described, for legal services, or to meet an obligation. Appropriate safeguards are used where personal information is transferred internationally.
8. Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose and to meet legal, regulatory, insurance and professional requirements. We use proportionate organisational and technical measures to protect it.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to receive certain information in a portable format. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Some rights are limited where legal or professional duties apply.
10. Contact
For a privacy question or rights request, email matt.turner@shoredons.co.uk. Please do not send confidential matter details until the firm has confirmed that it can act.
